Over the years, the need to invest in long-term social developement has been acknowledged and such efforts have yielded valuable lessons. These have indicated that administration and management of such interventions require specialized manpower and infrastructure, the absence of which has been an impediment to development initiatives in the corporate sector. This has led to a recognition of the need for a professionally managed body that could identify opportunities, monitor activities and provide systematic feed-back to the investors.

The Foundation accepts contributions from corporate donors, charitable trusts, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donor organizations, international donor agencies, non-resident Indians and individuals.
The Foundation is registered as a non-profit charitable trust in India. Contributions are exempt from tax under Section 80-G and 35 I (iii) of the Indian Income Tax Act. It is also registered under the Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act which enables it to accept foreign contributions.
The Foundation will be happy to provide any documentation supporting our status as a non-profit charitable organization to enable foreign donors to apply for tax exemption.
